The V12 kit uses the
Model S gearbox as the base platform. The kit includes the gearbox, shifter,
knob, mount, driveshaft flange, NEW driveshaft, clutch disc, clutch hydraulics, all hardware and
new multi-pattern bellhousing.
A newer internal hydraulic
release bearing is used since Jaguar mounts the factory slave cylinders
on the transmission. This modification also eliminates the carbon release
bearing aiding in a more direct and positive clutch release. The new transmission
can not accomodate the slave so that is why we do this. We also don't
like the idea of modifiying clutch forks. Factory bellhousing heights
are maintained using a NEW bellhousing. The factory clutch is maintained
using our new disc and by removing the factory friction ring on the clutch.
All mounts use the same location points as the factory. Factory pilot
bushing is maintained. No cutting or trimming required. Short throw shifter
is in exact location as factory shifter . Factory speedometer angle drive
and cable screw onto the transmission. Driveshaft supplied.
