| All transmissions have serial numbers stamped on them. JT5's and Muncie 4 Speeds have serial and model numbers. Currently all rear wheel drive transmissions including JT5's are numbered from 1 to over 3600 ( and still counting ). Corvette Overdrives were numbered separately and stopped in the 1500 range. Transfer cases stopped in the 300 range. Axles stopped in the 600 range. These numbers tell of the date built and who the transmission was first sold to. MEDATRONICS CORPORATION LIMITED TRANSMISSION WARRANTY Transmissions sold by Medatronics Corp. are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty period begins on the date of invoice to the installer and applies only to the party appearing on Medatronics Corporation original invoice or end user holding this warranty document. If the purchaser disagrees with any of the terms of this warranty, please return the purchased item to Medatronics within five (5) business days of receipt. A decision by the purchaser to retain and install the item purchased will be deemed acceptance of the specific terms of this warranty. THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION OR PARTS THERE OF, WHICH UPON OUR EXAMINATION PROVE TO BE DEFECTIVE. IT DOES NOT INCLUDE BREAKAGE OF GEARS, DAMAGE RESULTING FROM ABUSE, FAULTY INSTALLATION, LOW LUBRICANT LEVEL, IMPROPER TYPES OF LUBRICANT, FAULTY OPERATION OF ANY PART OR PARTS NOT FURNISHED AS PART OF THE TRANSMISSION, (SUCH AS LINKAGE, CLUTCH ASSEMBLIES, SHIFTERS, MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION MOUNTS, WORN OR DEFECTIVE DRIVE SHAFT COMPONENTS, PILOT BEARINGS OR BUSHINGS, ETC.), ACCIDENT OR RACING. THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IF THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN USED IN ANY APPLICATION OTHER THAN THAT WHICH IT WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED OR HAS BEEN REPAIRED OR ALTERED OUTSIDE OF MEDATRONICS CORPORATION’S REBUILDING FACILITIES. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER SUCH THINGS AS TOWING, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF EARNINGS, PERSONAL INJURY DAMAGES, PER DIEM EXPENSES, NOR ANY OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. MEDATRONICS CORP. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUND THE FULL PURCHASE PRICE IN LIEU OF ALL CLAIMS OTHERWISE DUE A CLAIMANT UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY. All implied warranties are limited to the terms of the written warranty . Consequential or incidental damages are not covered by this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you have other rights which can vary from state to state. In order to make a claim for adjustment under the warranty the purchaser must return the transmission to us within the warranty period, transportation charges PREPAID, for our inspection. If the transmission is accepted as defective, MEDATRONICS CORP. will either repair or replace the unit only. This warranty constitutes the sole obligation of Medatronics Corp. to the purchaser. Warranty terms herein apply to both written and implied warranties. No returns without prior written authorization. |
