JT5 5 Speed Kit Comparisons in General
"For people who know the difference"
Medatronics Corporation is always willing to share technology with others companies. The development of the new Muncie 4 speed parts is proof of that. Oddly when it comes to Jaguar 5 Speed conversions the very people we have helped, tend to go the other way, by actually copying our castings or concept. In all fairness, this doesn't bother us. Current copy cat designs are actually 50 percent weaker than our standard street JT5. Regardless of what people claim or how pretty these transmissions look this is a fact. When in comes to the quality of our design work, castings, and gears we have always been leaders in this technology. We have set standards for others to follow for 2 decades. Here is some basic advice you should know when purchasing a conversion for your classic Jaguar.
We are amazed at how people are still fooled by published web hype. The trend seems to be that these worthless companies just love to write web pages about what product claims they have, with poor grainy images, constant specification changes, poor delivery, zero performance history etc. Sadly people just believe it. You can always call the major players in Jaguar racing, such as Predator Performance, Terry's Jaguar, and Donovan Motor Cars as a reference. 2009 marks our 28th year in business. That business has been in the design and building of standard transmissions. We don't sell wheels, shocks, or coffee mugs. With over 3000 JT5 installations currently in use, the JT5 is in a class all by itself. In the past and in the present many companies with absolutely zero transmission design knowledge jump into this conversion arena. So far, none have stood the test of time simply because of poor product performance and design. We see and expect this trend of poorly designed products to continue. With over $4000 going towards the cost of a quality conversion we are surprised to see how many people are willing to purchase conversions from companies based on nonsense written in magazine ads and on the web.
